My Boss Has Not Yet Complained of my duties – DP Ruto

The Kenyanpost news

My boss has not complained about my performance, these were the words of Deputy President William Ruto.

The DP has been on the receiving end  for not showing up in  COVID-19 Conference chaired by the President on Monday at the KICC.

Speaking from his Karen residence where he hosted a section of leaders, The Dp said he does not need to be supervised in dispensing his mandate.

According to him, those breathing down his neck are mere busybodies.

“No work has been given to me and I failed to execute,” he said.

He urged his detractors to focus on delivering services for the common Kenyan.

“Who are they to complain about my work? Who made them my supervisors?” he wondered.

Earlier, State House Spokesperson, Kanze Dena,  said the second in command was indeed invited to the summit.

“State function programmes are done once someone has been invited and confirmed attendance. I don’t do the invites, but the information we have is that he was invited,” Kanze Said

On the other hand, Ruto’s director of communication Emmanuel Talam denied claims that his boss was invited to the event during which Kenya’s six-months fight with Coronavirus was discussed.

“I’ve no idea [why the programme showed he was scheduled to speak]. He’s rarely invited to Covid-19-related events. That’s on record. I don’t know about yesterday’s. But it would be interesting for anyone to suddenly realize that the DP is a stakeholder on matters of national importance,” Talam said.
